first of this blog in no way violates any HIPAA rules, no names or dates nor patient information is given, this is just to get things out.
further more this blog is going to be anonymous, heaven help me if my bosses found out about this, but here I go anyway.
We rolled up on scene to what we were told was a bad neck wound.
Fine, we grab our kits and enter the house and make our way to where the patient was...hmmm neck wound was a bit of an understatement. This person ran afoul of the hatian mob and had his head hacked off, and when i say hacked off, I mean hacked off, you would think that if you are going to cut someones head off you would at least have the decency to sharpen your machete or whatever you use, but no.
My first call, we rolled up to a girl who was sick in her bathroom. Explosive diarrhea, she even got it on the ceeling..to this day we are still trying to figure that one out. Cleaned her up, took her to the hospital, then I excused my self and promptly threw up.
Saw a person who's hand was crushed, looks and feels like hamburger with chunks of bone in it.
then there was a week where there was nothing but stab wounds. huh go figure.
